Gordon John Christie - Partner
Born, bred and educated in Huntly, Gordon knows the town
and its surroundings well and returned to Huntly in 1995 after
completing his education at Aberdeen University, his traineeship with a
well respected Aberdeen Legal Firm and gaining experience with a Local
Authority in Stonehaven.
Presently he deals with a substantial part of the Firm's Estate Agency business, conveyancing, wills, trusts and executries, debt collection and small claims and general chamber work. Gordon is married with a young son and lives in Huntly. His interests include travel, walking, golf and amateur dramatics - all when he has time away from his busy work schedule.
John Alexander Christie - Senior Partner
Born
in Tarland, Aberdeenshire, John moved with his parents to Morayshire in
1938 where he was educated before graduating Master of Arts (M.A.) and
Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Aberdeen University. He came to Huntly in
November 1959, married a Huntly girl and has a son, Gordon, a partner
in this Legal Practice. John was Town Clerk of Huntly for several years
until local authority re-organisation in 1975.
Whilst he has always specialised in Wills, Trusts and Executries, John also handles Agricultural Law, Partnerships, Company Law, Powers of Attorney, PAYE and most general business.
His interests include cricket (he played for Huntly in the North of Scotland League in the early 1960s), was founder Secretary of Huntly Round Table, gained his Aberdeenshire County cap for Small Bore Rifle Shooting, was a member of the Huntly operatic society and is a patron of Strathbogie Horticultural Society.
Marie Jessiman - Partner
Born
and educated in Huntly, Marie returned to practice in her home town in
1981 after completing her education at Aberdeen University and her
traineeship with an old established north-east firm. She deals with a
wide range of the firm's business including matrimonial and separation
work, conveyancing, wills, executries and security work, etc. Marie is
married with one son and her leisure time mostly revolves around family
activities, such as theatre, cinema, music and travel.
Diane M.M Christie - Associate
Diane
was born and educated in Aberdeen and gained her LL.B.Degree from
Aberdeen University. Following completion of her traineeship, she
continued to practice in Aberdeen for 10 years before joining Murdoch
McMath and Mitchell in 2001.
Married to Gordon, she currently combines legal work with bringing up their young son.
When time allows, her interests include travel, amatuer dramatics, walking and aerobics.
